This short course introduces learners to the topics of multimorbity, polypharmacy and deprescribing and supports learners with approaching medication reviews for patients with multiple co-morbidities and polypharmacy.

Course Description

This short course introduces you to some of the content available in SL500152 Polypharmacy and Multimorbidity unit. Learners will be able to:

Define multimorbidity, polypharmacy and deprescribing

Understand the key policies and guidelines available.

Consider how multimorbidity, polypharmacy and deprescribing may impact on your practice.

Evaluate the available screening tools used to identify potentially inappropriate prescribing of medicines.

 Develop a systematic approach to conductiong medication reviews for people with multiple co-morbidities and polypharmacy.
